2026 Weeks & Dates

Sending a youth to CYL camp is a decision you won't regret!

Explorers

Campers will explore the wonder of co-operatives as they learn about their history and discover the CYL community that awaits! They will gain an understanding of the values and behaviours of leadership, teambuilding, and communication skills, and learn what makes a “great” leader.

Campers will have fun meeting new friends and enjoying traditional camp activities, all the while learning to lead their week at camp.

Adventurers

Campers will blaze a trail towards co-operation as we focus on our CYL community, learn to overcome communication challenges, and lead the way by helping to facilitate workshops and create an environment of teamwork and leadership skills. Activities focus on stereotyping, the, influence of social media, as well as diversity and equality. Campers will begin taking over leading their week at camp, and have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours. Campers will have fun exploring the great outdoors enjoy sports and traditional camp activities like campfires. This is a great opportunity to reunite with old friends and meet new ones in a supportive environment.

Visionaries

Campers will implement the vision and imagination to shape the future of co-operatives, as they become innovative young leaders with the knowledge and skills to change the world! They will solidify basic knowledge of the co-operative business model, while gaining tools to make a difference in their communities. Campers work in teams to create a co-operative that addresses a need in their community, and develop a communication and marketing plan which is presented to a panel of senior co-operative representatives for constructive feedback. Visionaries take over the responsibility of leading the camp with the support of their facilitators.

Explorers: July 12 to 17, 2026

This week is open to campers ages 13 to 14,

and is a great introduction to CYL!

Adventurer: July 18 to 24, 2026

Co-operative Education Centre in Aylmer, ON

August 15 to August 21,2026

Lake St. George in Richmond Hill, ON

This week is open to campers ages 13 to 16,

and/or participants that have completed Explorers.

Visionaries: July 25 to July 31.2026
